1. Physical changes can include melting, freezing, crushing, cutting, chopping, etc. Chemical changes include combustion, oxidation and fermentation. The main characteristic is that physical changes do not alter composition of the substance, but chemical changes do.
2. Oxygen; heat and light
3. Rust is produced on oxidised metal, which we can see and feel.
4. Bacteria or fungi and sugars (carbohydrates). Carbon dioxide is produced. It breaks down plant and animal matter in the process of decomposition.
